Ministry Partners Development Information
Overview:
LeaderTreks Seeks to Serve Your Mission
LeaderTreks' desire is to serve you, our ministry partner. We will ask you to define your needs, and then work with you to accomplish the projects. LeaderTreks is willing to serve in a variety of ways, including construction, ministry outreaches, Bible club programs, or whatever your needs may be.
No project is too small. LeaderTreks students are happy to collect donated goods and carry supplies for your ministry. Teams reserve one bag per student for this service.
LeaderTreks will use the mission experience as a classroom to teach our students leadership principles. Because of this, our students will constantly be pushing to do more work, do it better, and demonstrate a Christ-like attitude through the process.
LeaderTreks wants to serve you.
Criteria for Qualifying Partner Sites:
- A Christ Centered Mission
- A vision LeaderTreks can endorse
- A clear plan for the future
Optional Criteria that Contribute to Successful Partner Sites:
- A construction project -- the more challenging the better
- An opportunity for ministry -- Sites with children's ministries work well for LeaderTreks. LeaderTreks has also successfully worked in ESL programs, benevolence work, and evangelism.
- LeaderTreks is open to working with national churches. A westerner on the ground is not essential, but an English translator generally is essential.
Daily Schedules and Length of Trips
A typical LeaderTreks schedule includes a morning quiet time, construction work, ministry program, and an evening team time. The team time is a distinctive element of the LeaderTreks program where students study the Bible, discuss leadership principles, and resolve team issues.
Generally trips last from 10 days to two weeks. LeaderTreks is currently looking for new partner sites, and could send six teams per year to a site that needs that level of support.
Financial Arrangement
LeaderTreks works with their students to raise funds to cover the expenses of the trip and to make a donation to your ministry project.
LeaderTreks' desire is to give their ministry partners a fixed contribution per student depending on your needs. These funds would be directed by you and are designed to cover the cost of materials used by the team on the work site and/or ministry expenses. Remaining funds are kept by you, the ministry partner, to continue work on the project after the trip ends.
Logistics are coordinated as much as possible by LeaderTreks staff so that the team does not become an additional burden to your ministry. LeaderTreks covers all of their own expenses including airfare, travel to and from the airport, daily transportation, lodging, and food. Shopping, cooking, and cleaning are handled by the team and are part of the leadership training experience.
What does LeaderTreks Require of their Ministry Partners?
LeaderTreks asks to be the only team on the site. LeaderTreks asks that their group be able to stay together as they transition from construction to ministry projects.
LeaderTreks asks that their lodging be clean and ready for their arrival. LeaderTreks will leave the lodging clean upon their departure.
LeaderTreks asks that the construction materials needed for the project be on the site when the team arrives. LeaderTreks asks for clear direction or blueprints for any construction project.
Why Use LeaderTreks?

- LeaderTreks will bring Christian students who act as an extension of your staff, and uphold your values.
- LeaderTreks plays less and works harder than other mission groups.
- LeaderTreks will help you develop funds to accomplish your project.
