The Assessments

The Leadership House was a collaboration between LeaderTreks and Galvin and Associates. LeaderTreks hired Jim Galvin to create the assessments based on best practices for survey development. Jim is an expert in leadership development and helps many organizations develop their leadership talent. His bio follows:

Galvin and Associates
Jim Galvin is an organizational consultant specializing in strategy and leadership development for faith-based organizations. He has completed successful projects for many nationally-recognized ministries including LeaderTreks.

He spent 15 years in youth ministry and served as the National Training Director of Youth for Christ/USA. Jim holds the Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Supervision from Northern Illinois University as well as Bachelor and Masters degrees from Wheaton College. He lives in Winfield, Illinois with his wife Kathleen and two college-aged children: Jimmy and Lindsay.

The Curriculum

Steve Gerber led the LeaderTreks team in the development of the curriculum for the Leadership House. Steve is a gifted writer with extensive youth ministry experience. The first goal was to create curriculum that would help students identify their leadership skills. The second goal was to give adult leaders a tool that would make them an expert in leadership development. The facilitator's guide gives adult leaders everything they need to help students maximize their leadership potential.
