Background
I’m 27 years old.  I was married in August of this year to a beautiful woman named Shannon.  I’ve been with LeaderTreks for just over one year now, and I’ve been in youth ministry for almost 7 years. 

How did you become a Christian?
I was pursued by a couple of faithful friends in high school.  They were faithful in befriending me.  They were faithful in inviting me to church. I kept saying ‘no thank you,’ but they stayed faithful… and then they tricked me into going to church.  I became a regular ‘church-goer’ after that.  For me, becoming a Christian was a process involving me asking questions and faithful men pouring into me. 

What is a leadership lesson you have learned while serving at LeaderTreks?
I think I’ve seen myself grow the most in my teaching since coming to LeaderTreks in ’06.  At LeaderTreks we express the importance of ‘transformational’ teaching.  A transformational teacher is more concerned with the growth of his students than he is with the simple conveyance of information. 

What is one of your gifts and how do you use it?
I am a teacher at my core.  I love the Scriptures and I love making them accessible to students.  I feel my strengths lay in helping students discover the Truth about their God, their world, and their calling.
