Overview:
In the Dominican Republic LeaderTreks teams are building orphanages and reaching out to children with the good news of Jesus Christ. Since 1997 we have been working with multiple partners to construct homes and schools for children who have been abandoned.
The work is meaningful and the relationship with the kids is life changing.
This trip is a full 14 days. The first Sunday after church we will go to an amazing water fall and then, after a full week of work, your team will enjoy a day of white water rafting in the mountains of the DR. This trip ends at a beach front hotel where your team will be able to celebrate their wins and debrief before heading home.

Work Project:
Teams will tackle some challenging tasks, ranging from digging foundations and septic tanks to making mortar and laying concrete blocks. The end result will be that your students will get to be a part of rescuing a child off the streets and placed in a home with local house parents who love and care for them while also teaching them about Jesus.

Ministry Opportunities:
Your students will be running Vacation Bible School type programs at orphanages and schools. This outreach in the Barrios of the DR will allow them to have great face to face contact with children that have little hope. It will be your students that will have the amazing opportunity to speak Truth into the lives of these children and show them the love of Jesus through teaching God's Word, games and lots of laughs.
