Overview:
The Daniel Boone National forrest in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky will be your classroom for the week. The wilderness areas in these mountains allow us to go off trail in to the rugged mountains of the East. These mountains are historically famous and as you travel through them you can imagine the hardships they gave the early pioneers that wanted to go west. Teams may have the opportunity to hike some of the World Famous Appalachian Trail, one of the nation's longest footpaths; it stretches all the way from Georgia to Maine. The Appalachian Mountains offer wonderful challenge opportunities along with unparalleled beauty. This is a great place to introduce teams to the wilderness as well as thoroughly challenge upper-level teams.
