At LeaderTreks You Get More Than You Expect - five keys make the difference.
One Group Per Site - At LeaderTreks we only partner with one youth group at a time, on all of our sites, no matter what you pay. We will never place two or more teams on one site. It doesn't make any sense - no two teams share the same vision or the same behavioral standards.
Full-time Staff - All LeaderTreks staff are certified. When a new staff member comes to LeaderTreks they are required to go through 15 weeks of training and our Summit Team members, who run the majority of the trips, spend 27 weeks in training.
Leadership Program - From the minute you arrive until the minute you leave all aspects of the trip will be used to develop your students into leaders. We use the schedule, work site, ministry events, meals and team time in the evening to challenge your students to grow as leaders. Our proven leadership development model makes a real difference.
Real Work- Real Ministry - We build orphanages, pour basketball courts and remold homes and students do it all. We partner with real missionaries with a vision to work with student groups. On overseas trips we spend $300 plus per student on every work project and $100 plus here in the U.S. You'll rub shoulders with ministry visionaries that will give your students a new view of how they can live for Jesus Christ.
Intentional Spiritual Development - We believe that leadership and discipleship are woven closely together. LeaderTreks creates a trip book for each team designed to develop spiritual disciplines and personal growth in each student. The trip book has three main sections: the daily devotional, a prayer journal and a daily growth journal. Each morning, we set aside 45 minutes for devotions.
"After several months, we are still seeing the positive effects of our summer trip with LeaderTreks in the lives of our students. The LeaderTreks staff had an evident passion to see the leadership potential realized in our students. Our students learned to be leaders through success, failure, encouragement, teamwork, and love. Everyone of my students said that this trip gave them more of a desire to spend consistent time with God." -Todd Iannetta, Junior High Pastor (Hudson, OH)
We offer many tools to accompany the basics of a LeaderTreks trip book. They included journals that help students develop a personal mission statement, a leadership focus or a Biblical value system. We utilize encouragement tools to increase communication ability and spiritual gifts testing to help students understand how God created them. We have goal setting tools and team building activities that will increase focus and group unity.
